Corporate Recruiter Apply Now Description/Job Summary McAllister Towing is looking for an experience outgoing maritime recruiter. The Corporate Recruiter will be responsible for coordinating the recruitment and retention of vessel personnel and shore-side personnel, including internal and external recruiting and placement, scheduling, and coordinating training initiatives. Responsibilities/Duties Manages crew recruitment – plans and direct activities such as developing sources of qualified applicants, conducting interviews, checking references, and evaluating applicant qualifications. Compiles statistical reports concerning recruitment, interviews, hires, transfers, and promotions in order to make recommendations for improved employee recruiting practices and improvements to general employee policies, processes and practices.Works proactively with managers of the organization to understand and satisfy recruiting needs.Applicant Tracking Management.Performs background checks on potential new hires, including employee personal and professional references.Assists in the implementation of the EEO and Affirmative Action Plan.Performs other duties in Personnel Department, as required, including correspondence regarding recruitment and retention of employees.Attends maritime career fairs, visits maritime colleges, and vocational schools, give presentations to the public regarding careers in the tugboat industry Required Skills High School Diploma or equivalent.Understanding of USCG license requirements for marine personnel.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.Excellent analytical and assessment skills.Maritime Industry experience preferred.Must be able to travel extensively as needed
