Our Technology and Technical Solutions (TTS) sector focuses on the development and integration of solutions that support mission success of critical systems such as secure communications, satellite systems, nuclear operations solutions, network operations, program, training, and administrative services and environmental management services. Our TTS team is currently looking to hire a contingent Boat Operator/Coxswain with a minimum of two years’ experience for work in San Diego, CA. If you enjoy working on mission critical projects in a team-oriented environment, please read on! Duties and Responsibilities: Provide operations and maintenance support related to small boats Operate small boats (20’ to 40’) Use and maintain rigging equipment for various projects Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Coxswain. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. Preferred experience is with small Rigid Hull Inflatable boats (20’ to 40’ in length). Must be familiar with Naval shipboard conditions and working environment. Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens. Preferred Qualifications: Proven experience rigging deck equipment for deployment, operation, and retrieval of scientific equipment in a maritime environment. ADA Notations: Ability to climb aboard ships and military vessels Ability to work in confined spaces of small craft Requires walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of occasional noise Ability to move in narrow and restricted passageways, up/down steep and narrow ladders or stairways (onboard ships) Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs in weight Office, warehouse, laboratory, pier side, shipboard Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud
