Project Manager, Fort Lauderdale General Information Job Title: Project Manager Location: 1510 Southeast 17th Street Ste 400 Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33316 United States Relocation Expense Covered: No Employee Type: nFT Exempt Job Category: Project Management Industry: Marine Salvage Minimum Experience: 10 Years Required Degree: Masters Travel: 65% Manage Others: Yes Description Position Summary: Project Manager and Salvage Master are the leaders of the Project Management Team – they are on an equal level with different responsibilities and each reports directly to the Director of Projects. Resolve has employed this 2-person integrity structure for decades in setting up of projects and have found it to be effective. Both the Project Manager and Salvage Master have responsibility for project success and the 2-person integrity encourages working together in lieu of more of an authoritarian approach that can happen if 1 person is in charge. This position provides overall supervision and management of field projects. The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of assigned jobs from initial job set-up to final billing Position Responsibilities: Develop the Project Management Plan and establishing the project organization in direct collaboration with the SM and GOPM. Ensure that all project staff are clear on the chain of command and their own responsibilities and follow the PM Plan for the duration of the project. Oversee all project support functions and supervise project support staff including SNA, PC, LC, SO, etc. Serve as the senior company representative on assigned projects. Responsible for the set-up, supervision and management of all aspects of field projects including project mobilization and de-mobilization, personnel supervision, vessel operations, salvage operations, diving operations, job accounting, cash fund management, daily reporting, client interaction, and logistics. Maintain a direct interface with client on a daily basis. Work with Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager and Salvage Master as assigned. Maintain a direct interface with Project Coordinator and/or Assistant Project Manager, providing all required information for reports. Review and approval Daily Reports. When not assigned to a field project, lend assistance as required from the office or warehouse in supporting on-going field operations. Duties may include assisting with equipment maintenance, improvements, and special projects. Utilize the full spectrum of skills learned in the field to include heavy equipment operation, welding, rigging, gas/diesel mechanics, hydraulic system design and repair, etc. Set an example of leadership in taking a proactive role in all local and field assignments. Become familiar with the company’s Integrated Management System and assist in efforts to implement quality processes into Resolve field project operations to improve efficiency and reduce cost. Ensure adherence to Resolve’s policies and procedures as set forth in the Field Guide Book, the Employee Handbook and all other established policies, standard operating procedures and work rules of the company. Provide daily oversight and approval of daily job reporting via computer and Resolve forms including daily safety meeting reports, daily work reporting, payroll, accounting, cash expenditures, etc. Responsible to ensure all paperwork is submitted as required. Work closely with management to coach, train, and develop more junior Resolve field staff. Make direct contributions towards improving the overall capability, qualifications, and experience of Resolve field personnel and to improve crew morale. Assist in identifying and recruiting new talented personnel to augment Resolve field personnel roster. This may be a combination of general marine work and salvage specific. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Project HAZWOPER Awareness Certification Project Management Certification a plus Supervisory Requirements: The Project Manager supervises and directs the Project Coordinator.
